  2. Agree with the above -- don't litter and remove your trash.

    Additionally:

    - Donate funds -- help preserve the parks

    - Buy an annual pass to show your support. http://www.nps.gov/fees_passes.htm

    - Support wildlife charities and causes

    - Encourage your friends to go and take your children -- best way to preserve the legacy.

    -  Vote Democratic -- they generally support the environment I(think Al Gore) and won't approve oil drilling as willingly as the Republicans.

  5. Respect 1st and foremost.  Pack light utilize recycable goods. Self policing and good common sense of your surroundings, play safe and be natures friend. Its homestead is essential for all living things to live and breathe (wild game, fish so dont pee in the water pollute with waste its not kool) We should just savor the borrowed moments of beautiful majestic scenery we call tranquility and be thankful its free.

    l say preserve and maintain as if it were your own backyard.
