Read read read.  Listen to english music and watch english tv programs.  Repeat everything you hear.

Start listening to english news [DD-1] every day.

Ready atleast two english news-paper [i recommend Indian Express and Deccan Herald].

Read regularly India Today, Front Line and The Week.

Speak English with every body.

If you get an opportunity speak in front of as many people as possible.

I am sure, you will be a confident speaker in English.

the 3 golden rules to language - read it, speak it, listen to it. so read atleast a book a week. it can be a romance or even archie comics, but read! dont be afraid to speak english. if u make a mistake, someone will correct you. and you will learn. watch a lot of english movies and TV programmes. it will help you get used to the different accents, and also help you learn contemporary lingo.
