  1. Not as much as the cows, I can tell you that! ha

  2. Well, they breathe, therefore emitting CO2. If you put all the squirrels in the world together, they might make an average sized city 1 degree warmer with their emissions. On the other hand, their poo probably fertilizes trees, which take in the CO2, so that would make them carbon neutral right? It's a stretch.

  3. Well you must realize that squirrels eat acorns. And you know what that means. Well if you don't I shall take upon myself the task of enlightening you. Well 9 out of 10 scientists agree that acorns are the principal method that trees use to suck in carbon dioxide. Without these acorns more and more green house gases are being left in the air. These acorns though have a more fiendish effect than just leaving gases in the air. They are also directly responsible for gas problems in the squirrel's delicate intestines. These acorns cause enough gases in these squirrels to surpass even the mighty cows! And now you see how squirrels have a major part in causing global warming.

  4. So are we blaming squirrels for global warming?  I guess blaming the oceans for releasing water vapor wasn't working on a wizened public.

  5. The problem with squirrels is that they plant nut trees all over the place. They plant too many trees, so that the trees compete with one another and make it necessary to thin out the trees.

Fortunately the  trees they plant are mostly trees that grow good food. My wife suggests that they drop the walnuts where they are when the dog starts chasing them and do not go back to collect them.

  6. Squirrels breath in oxygen, then breath out carbon dioxide. Same with humans and all other (non-marine) animals. Also, they eat acorns, which develop into trees...... but I think that is about it!

  7. Squirrels eat nuts.

The alarmists should carry big sticks with them when walking outside for protection.

  8. Squirrels are what is called Agents of a tree.

Agents are animals, reptiles or insects that live in and around the tree ,And their lives somehow interacts with the life of the tree.

Or can be animals that visit at specific times ,to feed or for social activities, and have also a role to play in the trees existence. ,this is called scheduling.

For example insects leave sugars on the leaves which are washed of by the rain and so becomes a richer soil for the tree to live in.

    Other insects pollinate .

Additional flora that grows on the trees attracts the insects

Birds are planters they eat the fruits and  p**p them out somewhere else in a package of compost

Squirrels ,only recover about one quarter of all of the seeds they bury ,and so have become an essential component in rejuvenating forests,

Trees absorb heat during the day and release it at night ,they are  essential  in regulating our climate.

They also absorb carbon (contra global warming)

and leave us oxygen to breathe

    as well as giving shade,

And most importantly precipitation .producers humidity

When it is cold the leaves condense water from the air ,the excess drops on the ground and is used by the tree ,and what the tree cannot use is released by the roots ,and this keeps the rivers flowing

When it is hot water evaporates  into the air ,that together with the dusts from the leaves feeds and seeds the clouds.

    causing rain ,

Thus trees do far more than just work contra Global warming

they also are instrumental in daily normal warming .

Take away trees and we all live in desert conditions  ,freezing nights and boiling hot days

And squirrels are  responsible for planting many, many trees.

    So work against Global warming.

We got squirrels all over the garden ,right now is a romantic time and they chase each other all over the place ,they eat ,nanchies (small fruits )get into coconuts ,mangoes ,just about anything .not only nuts

Wolves are also important for preserving forests read here why that is.http://byderule.multiply.com/journal/ite...

  9. well squirrels needs trees..

  10. Mr R is almost there but it's much worse.  Acorns are infant trees.  Squirrels are baby tree killers!  They're deforesting the future!  Oh the naturity of it all!

  11. Squirrel help move seeds around so new trees can grow, but then Beavers come along and cut them down to build there homes
