  1. Colleges definitely look at extra credits.

    It makes a huge difference and the college you are applying for are gonna choose the application with extra credits rather than credits only needed.

    Most colleges want driven students and when they look at your application and see the extra activity or service,etc. they're gonna most likely choose you.

Colleges will definately notice if you went above and beyond what you were required to do!  These are the kind of people they want most.  People who go above and beyond the requirements make better leaders, are more likely to be able to handle stressful situations and are more able to cope with the courseload in college.

  3. the only real difference is that you have a bigger variety of classes so you have more options for colleges.

    I took 33 credits instead of the 30 you need and it didn't really help me.

    No one really looks at your high school credits/grades after you start college. Especially employers. If they even look at your transcript they wont care about something like that.
