  1. Damian miss read the question. It's not where you wished rugby started.

SO GO AND READ UP ABOUT THE HISTORY OF RUBGY.

  2. I started a thread about New Zealands claim to rugby a while back...and was told I was being wound up? I am really looking forward to the next world cup..where we will see new zealands "claim" to rugby broadcast in black and white at the start of it...

It will be hillariously funny...but bathed in glorious pweciousness too no doubt.

We can't argue with "pwecious" now can we?

  3. New Zealand.

The children of the English toffee nosed aristocrats may be credited for devising rugby but the game was extremely lack luster until the boys from NZ toured in 1905 and gave all up North except the Welsh, a jolly good thumping (the Taffy singing was an enormous distraction).

The game starts and finishes in New Zealand.

  4. NOT NEW ZEALAND - Damian is talking absolute tosh.

  5. England in the town of Rugby.

    The web addresses are above.

  6. England, UK

  7. rugby started anywhere but in new zealand and its neighboring islands... that myth needs to die.

  8. William Webb Ellis was playing soccer in the local School at Rugby in England, when he picked up a ball and ran with it over the goal line placing the ball on the ground.........the sports teacher yelled at him and asked what the h**l he was playing at, to which he replied "I tried sir.." hence the game of rugby was started...............

    As for the above answer............

New Zealand my @rse.........that National team even took the idea of the All Black kit from a Welsh Rugby Team......Neath RFC, when they first toured Wales!!!!!!!!!

  9. Rugby was developed at Rugby School in England, United Kingdom.
