The first day of kindergarten. I remember the day quite well. I remember seeing the boys with there underpants above their jeans, and I went home and asked mum what was that that they had on? She simply told me that they had to hold there little worms in place. I still find that kind of 'cute' to this day.

Where I live (in Canada) most people wear underpants most of their lives. I wonder if you might mean at what age did you stop wearing diapers?

These days, parents seem to be much more relaxed about toilet training their children, and the target date for having them out of diapers seems to have moved up to three or four. Up until the 1960s, they seemed desperate to get them out of diapers by the age of two. (This might also have something to do with the fact that now most children are in disposable diapers ... in olden days, they were cloth.) Personally, my mother tells me that, having walked at nine months, I was out of diapers by my first birthday. In general, girls are usually toilet trained more easily than boys.
