  1. The British Railway Museum is in York. It is well worth the visit, and though I don't believe I saw the original Rocket there, they have many of the early Stephenson's machines, as well as those of his competitors.

    It is well worth the visit. And so are the pubs!


  2. The National Railway Museum is in York, BUT "Rocket" is at the Science Museum in Exhibition Road, London SW7. "Puffing Billy", the world's oldest surviving steam locomotive from 1814, is also there.
