  1. Australasia.  It was part of a single landmass with Australia until sea levels rose 10,000 years ago, and the wildlife is predominantly Austalasian rather than Asian.  Australasia is a continent.  In terms of fauna, it borders Asia at a theoretical line called the Wallace line, with Asia starting at Bali and several other nearby islands.

  2. It is not part of continent, but is considered to be in the area of the south Asian subcontinent, and in the island-full region of Southeast Asia.

It is NOT considered part of Australia - I am an Aussie, so I speak from experience. It is more affiliated with Asia.

  3. Australia

  4. IT'S IN OCEANIA :-

Papua New Guinea ( in Tok Pisin: Papua Niugini ), officially the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, is a country in "Oceania", occupying the eastern half of the island of New Guinea and numerous offshore islands (the western portion of the island is a part of Indonesian provinces of Papua and West Papua). It is located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, in a region defined since the early 19th century as Melanesia.

  5. Papua new guinea is not part of a continent really but you could at times say it is part of oceania.

Australia is not just a region. it is a country and continent.

Papua new guinea is an ISLAND in the south pacific.

Australia is one continent. Many times people refer to the area of papua new guinea and australia as Oceania. Papua new guinea is part of the south pacific.

papua new guinea is the biggest island in the south pacific and 2nd biggest island in the world.

Papua new guinea should not be referred to as being part of australia. Papua new guinea became an independent nation over 30 years ago.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Australia is considered a continent.

Papua New Guinea is and island so it's not considered a part of any continent. (That's if I remember my geography class, it's been a long time!)

  7. its in asia...actually in south east asia....near indonesian islands...in the pacific region north of Australia, is the world's second largest island..but can also be associated with australia..as it got seperated from australian mainlands

  8. Oceania
