Britain is pretty good from experience but I have just got back from Kefalonia in Greece and all of the water there is natural spring water so presumably that's very safe too!

It is quite safe to drink the tap water in most of the western world.  When you drink bottled water you are actually usually drinking someone else's tap water.

The United States. been drinking it since I was born and have never gotten sick. bottled water is a waste of money and plastic in the U.S. the only difference between bottled water and tap water is that bottled has been filtered four times instead of three times like the average tap water.

I agree with the first answer.

there is no contry that has the safest tap water.

I can tell you where not to drink tap water. 3rd world countries and Africa.

I have an advice, don't drink tap water, buy bottled water.

If you have to drink tap water, please boil it just to be sure.

From what I have read, there is always a risk.

And the bottled water, it is from the tap too.

Definitely Singapore. Ask any Singaporean if it is safe to drink tap water there, and they will say "yes".

technically everywhere but.. when you're traveling your body doesn't adjust and you might get sick because the tap isn't the same. i think new york has the best tap water and that france has the worst. but i wouldn't drink the tap anywhere just because your body will react to it.
