In which country you have lived(other then your own) in have you found it exceedingly difficult to deal with?

I am talking about having a hard time dealing with the customs,

language, dating difficulties, sexism, religious fanaticism or complete lack of religious belief-stuff like that, with which a given country may have confronted you.

Actually when I moved to America from Thailand I found it quite dificult to the language because Americans use alot of slang and it is hard to pick up them all so for the first few months I knew enough English but there was so much slang that I sometimes didn't know what people were talking about. But other than that once I got use to it it was fine.
