In which direction up in the sky do i look right now to see the perseid meteor showers

Lay down horizontal on a blanket and look up, east - northeast.

Best time is when the Moon no longer lights up the sky.

Look toward the east.  They are coming from the direction of Perseus in the northeast, and you can watch the until dawn.
