I've recently grown a big interest in the Capybara. If you don't know what those are, they are the largest known rodent in the world. Many people have them as pets, and I've read that they are great for families. I want to know where I can find a list of states that allow them, because they are exotic. I live in Virginia, and I would love to have one.

Here is a link where you can see a picture of a pet Capybara.

  2. why would you want thata as a pet

  3. You can own them in any state as long as you check with the state government. For tips on Capybaras check out this site: http://www.capybaras.org/article.html  P.S. read the entire page.

  4. Contact an exotic pet veterinarian that can treat it. If you can't locate one, there's no point in getting an animal you can't find vet care for. They can tell you the local laws, because state laws may not address exotic pets.

On a side note, my advice is get a regular pet like a dog or cat.
