  1. munich is where heineken is made, amsterdam is where amstel is brewed.  so i am sure if they brew these exports there, they brew their good german beers there also.


  2. Down with the meat beers! It tastes like you're drinking a sandwich!

    I have no real input to this question... I'm just protesting against the smoked beers.  

  3. You're probably thinking of rauchbier. It has a smokey flavor to it. There is no bacon used in the brewing process (the smoke flavor is actually from the process used to dry the barley), but some people think that the flavor has overtones of bacon.

    Rauchbier is primarily brewed in the town of Bamberg.  Schlenkerla is the best known brewery.

    Note to Rodney: Heineken is Dutch and is made in The Netherlands, not Munich. A lot of people believe that it is German, but it isn't.
