In wimbledon, how many matches are held everyday?

do players have to compete everyday or do they get a day's rest before their next match?

Players play every other day if everything goes accoring to schedule. Last year when there was like 20 rain delays players had to play back to back for most of the tournament. This year since there is no rain, both men and women get to play every other day. But, Wimbledon has a tradition in which no one plays on the middle sunday. So if someone played their third round match on friday, they get two days off until they have to return to the court on Monday, a day when everyone plays their round of 16 match. If there re no delays, and this is for singles:

Half of the round is played untill the 4th round:

1st day: The first half of the 1st round women, an men is on! 32matches for men. 32 for women.

2nd day: The second half is on.   32 matches for each s*x!

3rd day: The first half of the 2nd round: 16 each for both sexes.

4th day: The second half of the 2nd round.

It goes on like that, and on Monday it will all of te men, and women 4th round matches will be on.
