  1. I live in Whistler, BC and I can tell you that we get a whole lot of sun in the winter.  Of course, we also get a whole lot of snow which means there have to be clouds sometimes, but in general the peak ski months (mid December to last March) are quite sunny.

  2. It is usually grey

  3. In Canada there are several ski mountains that are SUN SUN SUN during the winter, while there is cloud in the valley below.  Whistler, north of Vancovuer, British Columbia is one place.  There is an entire village of condominiums, restaurants, and ski lodges.

Kelowna, BC is also a smaller town that has 2 large ski mountains.  One is Big White with condos and restaurants and the other is Crystal Mountain, a day lodge.  Just to the north is Vernon with Silver Star, and Penticton to the south has Apex.

British Columbia is a warmer province than all the others during the winter, and people flock here for the ski hills.  The winter weather in Vancouver is mostly rainy but there are many nice days.  There is snow in Kelowna proper but a mostly cloudy winter,. but quite mild - in the 30F to 50F range.

    Enjoy.
