  1. In my opinion you should go affliction for leveling.  But late end game raiding, destruction is the way to go.  And for pvp, the felguard is def the way to go.

  2. At this point, I would say it depends on what your path is gona go. Independant: yes, as a warlock, your durability is weak to aggresive attacks from enemies. so you use a felguard to work as a warrior does in a dungeon, he works as a distraction to the enemie you are attacking and you get to throw pot shots at him and that kills him very quickly. Future in raiding: No, raids are gona want you to have a high DPS cache, meaning, your powers are energized to get max damage, all of the time. using points to get a fel-guard takes away the chance to maximize your DPS output.  in the end, it's your choice, but these two paths make up what you'l do.

  3. I would have to say yes! But it really would depend on your playing style. I mostly solo and I was originally affliction specced. It was nice, but you don't have a lot of mana and you aren't very "tough". I respecced to Demonology and got the felguard and let me just say BIG DIFFERENCE! I last longer, my mana lasts longer, my pet lasts longer. And having the felguard gives you some buffs too. Switching was the best thing I did!

  4. Well I play a warlock end-game. And I really say put felguard for certain situations. So really soloing instances probably wont happen. But its really your style of play, you can focus around DoTs FG or crit.

I like being Afli tbh. So yeah leveling up it might be. Or if your end game then no. Hope this helped
