In yahoo groups, how does someone get members to join without their permission?

there's someone in yahoo groups who has collect my email address and when she creates a group.she has me join her group without my permission .how does she do it?

Group owners can directly add people to their group.  However, you can change your preferences to not allow this here:  http://groups.yahoo.com/member/preferenc...  Note that you have to disallow all direct adds--you can't just block it for a specific person or group.
