In your aquarium what is background picture of? and what colour sand/gravel? ?

Just wondering about the different combinations and what you all think looks best.

In my tetra tank I have a plant background with natural gravel. In my goldfish tank I have no backgroud with natural gravel. In my midas cichlid tank I have some weird background that came with the tank and the fish, I think its that stuff that you put under carpet. Kinda sqishy but hard. Its black with little specks of color. Looks pretty though, so I left it on there. And I have blue, purple, white, red... all different colors of gravel.

In my main tank I have a stone background with plants and natural gravel the plants in the tank look quite good then. in my fry tank have natural gravel and blue background so I can see the fry however white gavel would have been better. Hospital tank plant background and natural gravel. That's just me:)

Well I like more the natural look. I have plants and rock background and sandish natural color rocks for gravel and I have a few different big natural rocks in there too.

My aquarium is built into my kitchen cupboards, which are gloss white - so the tank was made with the same gloss white frame round it...

I have cut white card as the background and have black & white gravel - to match the black & white kitchen...!!

Looks very cool, and this is my first experience with fishkeeping, and I'm hooked...!

no background, filled with plants so you cant see the back anyway and black gravel! Gorgeous!!

I have a Blue Background in one with pic of river plants and wood.

In 3 others I have background at all.  In one it has mirrors in the back.

Gravel in one with Blue Background is Blue gravel.

Mirror one has brown gravel.

The others...one has black gravel, one has white gravel...and the last has black and blue gravel.

I have a nice white stone with a living moss wall on the back with a couple nice pieces of driftwood in the gravel...
