In your footy tipping comps... do you get a point for a draw or not?

In other comps I've been in we've always given a point for a draw (they do in the Herald Sun super tipping), but in the one at my new work they don't.

I know it doesn't make any difference since everyone gets the same thing, but I would've got 8 points this week!

So what do you do in the tipping comps you're in? Just for interest's sake.

nah, you shouldn't get one, it's like the bonus thing for tipping 8, it's bulldust, it's called tipping, you haven't got it right, you can tip a draw you know, you should only get the actual games you pick the winner, we have people saying i have so many winners, well they haven't, if they are receiving bonus's, but we all know the rules when we start.

My work tipping comp awards a point for a draw - and I think it sux big time.

Its not fair and I think a draw shouldnt be awarded a point.  If you tip a draw then you get a point....simple.

No - everyone wins as the computer can't handle a draw.

I don't think you get any points.....and I am assuming you get a point for picking the winner

BUT

I think if you can pick a Draw then you deserve 5 points.

This gives you fairly good odds to take a punt on picking a draw.

yes it is a win and the points are shared between teams so instead or 4 points they get 2 and as for tiping it is the same both team win so the tips are both wins

It all depends. If you have the option to pick a draw then you don't get any points, but if you don't have the option to chose a draw then you get one point.

In my competition you can choose a draw so I didn't get a point.

Yes, every footy tipping comp I've ever been in has given a point for a draw.

In the Family Competitions at home we've always given a point for a draw.

At work though, You get no point for a draw because we have the option to choose a draw... and I think that's fair enough.
