  1. I have a 3 year old son and we still take baths in my whirlpool tub, but only when we are wearing our swim suits.  I stopped bathing with my kids (both boys) in the nude at about almost 2 years.

  2. I think it's never appropriate.

  3. Maybe....two. Since children start developing memories after that age.

It might be different for father and daughter than mother and son.

  4. I think it's different for mothers and sons and fathers and daughters. For a mother and son, probably a year or so after she stops breastfeeding, for fathers and daughter probably 2.

Sorry if it sounds sexist but mothers and sons just seems more innocent. The mother gave birth to her son, she breastfed him... just seems more innocent.

  5. i would say about 2-3.... they are more stable to be in the big tub by themselves and lets all admit no child like to sit in those chairs they want to be all over the place... i still bathe with my son he is 16 months.

  6. Children begin learning about their bodies around the age of two or three, which is when potty training begins and parents begin explaining about the names and purpose of body parts.  That is when they will begin to get curious about the body parts of the opposite s*x, and that curiosity naturally extends to the parent of the opposite s*x.  Around that time, it becomes inappropriate for the opposite s*x parent to be unclothed in front of the child.  Really, though, I think its inappropriate for either parent to be unclothed in front of the child by that age, regardless of gender.  Adults' bodies are different than a child's body regardless of sameness of gender, and it is not necessarily any more appropriate for a 3 year old boy to see his father fully nude than it is for a 3 year old girl.

  7. ewwwwww...........never!!

  8. about 3 or 4

  9. I would say it's never appropriate. What are doin' anyway? Trying to save on the water bill. Sounds creepy to me.

  10. At our local gym, its posted that anyone over the age of 6 shouldn't use a locker room/restroom of the opposite s*x.  I think that's a good rule of thumb.  I think that's around the age that children start really understanding the differences between boys and girls and no longer need to share a bath with mommy or daddy.  Its also around the time that they start realizing they want/need privacy.

Personally, I only bathed with my children when they were infants.  Now that they can splash around in the tub themselves, I don't get in with them anymore.  As for me, my shower is the only alone time I get.  lol  No kids in the shower with Mommy!  I don't even like it when my 4 year old walks in on me in the bathroom.
