In your opinion, how do students with emotional disabilities benefit from computer instruction?

This is for a grant ( $$$) to be used for a smart board, and I want to make sure all me Is are dotted and Ts crossed. Thanks

  1. Just a few thoughts ...

    With computer instruction they can progress at their own rate without the frustration of competing with, or being compared with, others.  The computer will not have to deal with any emotional upsets, so that human factor that can cause difficulties is somewhat removed.  Students with emotional disabilities can sometimes show more progres academically if they do not have to deal with too many people.  The students can experience immediate feedback with computer programming so frustration is less likely.
