  1. "I think a perfectionist can be a real pain in the neck for people around him/her, especially those who are close and connected, apart from the fact that the perfectionists themselves are doomed to be unhappy and dissatisfied all the time......... life tells us that existence by itself is a compromise!!"

When I read the answer, I had to agree it to be painfully true, except for those who strive to be perfect, humanity 'd have stopped developing!

Imperfection can be tolerated and corrected but not this kind of justifications and excuses.

  2. I find being a perfectionist not that great. I am one. And when I can get something perfect or be on top of the crowd I find it very disappoionting. It keeps me depressed sometimes. I'm very competive and a bit of a perfectionist so that's not that good a combination. Best way I can look at it is as a challenge to overcome being a perfectionist. It can be rather difficult but I think I'm improving some.

  3. In the quest for perfection, live not life in fear of counter productivite expectations, rather enjoy the adventure an journye of learning. It is not a conscious quest rather a subconcious vocation, rarely voiced but always mindful ... The fear of falling short of its Utopia deters many, but it should not.

Monarchies in the middle east are governed by Leaders who take great pride in ruling over magnificence. Well gooverned propsperous nations, perfection is exemplified at the tops and creates a domino like effect upon a nations people.

  4. I think being a perfectionist is a good thing.

    for instance:

a surgeon that is a perfectionist is good

  5. 6. It is the nature of humanity that no one of us can be perfect or perform perfect acts - it is ironic that we strive so to become perfect.

There is nothing wrong with bettering yourself whether it be through education, personal study, good deeds/helping others or any of the millions of other things, to actually attempt to attain perfection is counterproductive.

Ask yourself this... would you want your boyfriend/girlfriend to be perfect?  What little quirks or flaws would keep you interested?

Imperfection lets you know you're still human, rejoice in your inadequacies as much as in your excellence.
