  1. Samsung Instinct by Sprint. Or LG Voyager from Verizon wireless.

  2. the Sony Eriksson W888 is a great phone, with 3G capability, This is the same phone as the W880i, but doesn't have 3G capability.

  3. Sony Ericsson W880i - at the moment you can get it for £80.00 at a lot of network providers - its worth £200!

  8. There really is no perfect phone for everyone.

Probably the most technologically advanced phone on the market is the nokia n95 (aka The Beast).

5mp camera with a full suite of controls.. video recording, led flash

    wifi and 3g internet

    2.8" screen (n95-2 and n95-4) with 16 million colors

    Fantastic call quality

    Amazing reception

8gb internal memory (n95-1 and n95-3 have limited internal memory but have memory card slots)

it has a internet browser with flash and java (installable third party internet browsers if the native browser doesnt do it for you) (ive searched for months and have only found two phones that have flash in the native browser.. nokia n95 and nokia n82

Fantastic native multimedia player (installable third party multimedia players if the native doesnt do it for you)

symbian s60 v3 operating system (massive 3rd party support as it is the second most poplular operating system in the world.. window mobile is #1.. although nokia is #1 by worldwide sales)

    full bluetooth support.

it is gsm so if your on a cdma carrier you wont be able to use it.

Nokia also updates the firmware on this more then any other of their 70+ phones

    a few comments.

If youve never owned a touchscreen phone and decide to get one, 90% of the time you will regret this decision within a few months. Touchscreens are very difficult to use, and become irritating.

I would suggest you try out a touchscreen phone before you decide to commit.

If you do want a touchscreen phone, then at least get one with haptic feedback. Haptic feedback is a vibration, this will somewhat compensate for the lack of tactical feedback. Tactical feedback is the feel of the button moving and clicking in place.

If you go that route, check out the htc touch pro or htc touch diamond. Both are very respectable phones with high features.

If you want a full qwerty keyboard, then take a look at the blackberry bold or nokia e71.

Now if money is an object, but you still want good features and reliability, you should check out the nokia e51.
