  1. Love should come naturally and should always make sense. If those factors are not there in the beginning it will fail.

  2. I think it means that two people who do not know each other well beforehand, will not stay a couple for very long, despite their infatuation with each other.  The foundation is to know each other well and to build love upon that foundation.

  3. i think it means because there is so much infatuation that if its truly love there will be some substance with in it and a good foundation to grow from for the future.  If there isnt then it wasnt actually love and never could be

  4. I agree with Mandy B. Romeo and Juliet had a doomed love because they let their emotions sweep them away from rationality. Love between two people who can control themselves will last because that love can develop and become more than infatuation or lust.

  5. Simply, if you don't think something through, especially something like love, it'll never be as good as it could be. A tower built upon sand will only sink.

  6. well if it wasn't built on GOOD sense it was built on BAD sense.  so of course it would be doomed.  i didn't read that book.  but there's got to be good motives and feelings behind teh relationship for it to last.
