My whole question didn't really fit, so here it is:

In your opinion, what is the hardest thing to overcome while performing a difficult step (other than the step itself)? This is for dancers.

  1. To not only do the step correctly, but with the right style (grace, attitude, etc.). Anyone can be a great technical dancer, but great dancers capture an emotion as well. Great dancers are performers.

  2. Making it look completely effortless.

  3. When I was dancing (ballet, jazz and modern), I was always being reminded of my facial expressions. It seemed I always had a look of concentration during rehearsals. However, I always played the part right during performances...

Sure miss those days! Now I'm 29 and too pregnant to balance on TWO feet let alone one.

  4. of course it is fear

i screwed up once. I become afraid of doing the step on stage in case i mess up again.

But i still do it after s******g up below stage 1000 times, as long as i succeed that one time on stage

  5. i would say that making it look easy is definately the hardest thing. i would also say that sometimes it is scary but i think it is harder to make it look graceful, beautiful, and easy.
