In your opinion, what was the worst American car ever made?

I'd have to say the Chevrolet Chevette. I had one of the last ones made, and it was my first new car, and completely disintegrated at about 50,000 miles (before it was even paid for!). Even the interior plastic pieces started crumbling!

the cadillac cimarron... ugly, slow, cheaply made, and took the brand down a notch...

then again the pinto's did have that slight issue with bursting into flames upon rear impact..

The corvair. The engine would fall to the ground when driving. It had bed motor mounts. Secondm was the Ford Edsel. It came out in 58 onky for one year. It was a complete failure.

The Chevrolet S10 pickup. I bought a new one in 1987, It was a cheap, poorly designed, badly engineered vehicle. Haven't owned a GM product since.

the amc pacer.worst by far,and ugly as sin.i owned a 84 chevette from new and beat the h**l out of that car even delivered pizzas in it and it took all the abuse and then some,145,000 on the clock when i sold it.
