Apparently it was a championship game and the officials didn't even bothered about reviewing the tape.I'd say there was one or two tenths of a second left when the ball left his hands.

  1. What up Haloengel,

i remember when espn did a story on this.  i think that considering what was at stake and how this was the difference between a championship for one team or another- there is no reason why this play should not be reviewed by instant replay to make sure that the correct call was made...  Wow must have been heartbreaking for the boys from Spartanburg.

  2. well i would love to be biased against the situation since i watched a story about this. it was very emotional and i wanted the shot to get waved off. but, after rewatching it, it should have been good. the refs didnt review the tape and tried to call it the old fashion way.

we have instant replay for a reason. its a championship game no matter what way you look at it and situations like this should be takin into great professionalism

  3. It probably should have. I had to watch it a couple times to see. If they did not have replay like college and pros then they probably made the right call. Was the buzzer manual or automatic?

The bottom line is who cares it was high school basketball not the NCAA or NBA championship with millions of dollars bet on it.

If it were one of those there would be a riot and the refs would all move to Idaho.
