In your opinion What was the most scariest moment when someone was hit by a pitch?

I have 2 of them

1) When Ron Cey was hit in the head by Goose Gossage back in the 1981 World Series. Cey was hit so hard that his helmet broke. 2) When Mike Piazza was hit by Clemens back in 2000.

When Nick Blackburn got hit in the face by a comebacker hit by Bobby Abreu back on June 1st. d**n, I saw him fall straight to the ground, I put my hand over my mouth and jumped out of my seat so fast. I just felt so bad, I wanted to hop the railing and go help him. He got so lucky though, the ball hit his glove first and then hit his face. No broken nose or missing teeth. Just a bloody nose and ended up just a little black and blue with a swollen lip. The crazy thing is, I have it on video because I was recording on my digital camera.

Another scary time, I saw a video of when Pat Neshek got hit in the face by a comebacker back in college. Here's the video of it on youtube...

I thought you were talking about pitchers being hit by comebackers. If that's the case, the one where Bryce Florie, the ex-Red Sox pitcher, who got hit in the face by a hit by the Yankees' Ryan Thompson. Just scary, especially seeing all the blood coming from his nose afterward.

But Kirby Puckett getting hit in the eye was scary for me, too. Awful. That hit pretty much ended his career.

It's always scary whenever anyone gets in the head. The scariest for ME was when I got hit during a baseball game. I was nailed by a 70+ MPH pitch on the left side of my neck, it knocked me out, I couldn't breathe or see anything for a moment, but APPARENTLY I walked to first base by instinct...I thought I was dead. Oh and I couldn't move my neck even a centemeter for the next three days, now I have a weak neck and a paranoia that it could happen again. Scary stuff!!!!!!

well I think Juan Encarnacion from the Cardinals was hit in the eye last year with a wild pitch. I think he is still out and not playing but i am not sure. that was awful, really gross.
