In your opinion are American Eagle?

Are American Eagle clothes as cheaply made as Hollister?

I don't think America Eagle is cheaply made...if anything Hollister is more cheaply made cause they use thinner material for a lot of their tank tops and T-shirts so they rip more! I love both stores though! :)

well hollsiter has cuter stuff but ive noticed their shirts get holes in them after awhile

No, I think they're pretty good quality actually.

I've had a shirt from there for about 3 years, there's STILL no rips in it.

Yes they are. A good way to find out if something is cheaply made, ask the people that work there about where and how it is manufactured. Good placed will be able to tell you, bad ones can't.

And, on average, markup in retail is between 55%-70%, so subtract that from MSRP price, and that's what they paid for it, from there decide for yourself if you feel enough money went into it's production for it to be a good product.

in my opinion I really like ae. I think some of their stuff is a little overpriced but it is worth it.

American eagle has great quality clothes almost all my clothes are made by them and i have yet to see a cheaply made item.

I dont think any of thoses stores clothes are cheaply made. Thats the style that everyone wants. I luv both Hollister and American Eagle.

Hollister certainly seems to use materials that are not as well-made as American Eagle. Because Hollister is a cheaper subsidiary of Abercrombie & Fitch, cheaper materials are used to make it while are the better materials (i.e. cashmere) are used for Abercrombie & Fitch and Ruehl which are considered the more higher end lines. American Eagle is separate and therefore, their materials are generally better made than Hollister's because there is only one brand of clothing to consider.
