In your opinion is it wrong to ask out someone who has a partner?

this is just a peaceful question. i just want to know what other people think because someone asked me out a while back when they knew i had a partner. please be respectful of everybody's answers. thanks =)

I know I'll get some flack for this but.....

If I see someone I want, I'm going to ask them out.  I've never believed that it's my responsibility to keep someone else's relationship together.  If I ask them out and they are happy with their current partner, all they have to do is tell me that and I'll move on.
