  1. Pros - inclusion, teaching other children about disability and acceptance

Cons - If they are cognitively disabled, level of work may be too difficult & they feel inferior.

If they are autistic, the environment may be stressful.

  2. Deciding this should be done on an individual basis. There are students that will do well and others that won't.

  3. bury him alive in a box if hes clusterphobic, and to make it worse put pillows in the box

  4. I have an autistic son and he was isolated for the first 4 grades of his school life.  When he went into 4th grade he was mainstreamed most of the time.  He learned what was acceptable in ways of behavior and he actually made friends.  Disabled students in class usually have a para or aide that will help them in the school work and getting around.  I think isolating the students the whole time shows them that they are not good enough for a real classroom and it hurts their self esteem.

  5. disabled in what way? emotionally? physically?
