In my opinion the team that'll get the negative spotlight this year will be USC. They'll win their conference with a tie-breaker to Arizona St,

but they simply didnt meet expatation this year (again).

The positive spotlight goes to S.Florida, this team has 4 big games this year that can blast them into college football folklore. Already dubbed the "Giant Killers" this team has Kansas on its menu, then has Pitt a game that get them into the race for Big East title, then revenge on UConn the big east co-champion, then if it all goes right, has West Virginia, a game that could not only have Big East title on the line, but possible National Title hopes too. S.Florida returns 20 starters this year.

  1. Missouri will cruise through their schedule without so much as a bump in the road, till the Big 12 title game which they will win to set up a National Championship game with West Virginia who will also be undefeated.  Kansas will not be as good as last year.  Georgia and Florida and LSU will all be good but will lose one or two conference games each.  Ohio State will have another legit. chance at the National Championship, but No one will beat Missouri.  They will have two Heisman finalists Chase Daniels and Jeremy Maclin.

  2. Any sec,b12,b10, or pac 10  team who's winning gets the positive spot light. West Virginia or any BE team is  continuously  viewed  negatively no matter how badly we beat the other conferences best teams(OU) for example, Georgia for example, Georgia tech for example , Auburn for example. Need I go on! Get ready for this year!!

  3. The Positive....I believe it could be Notre Dame...last season's meltdown will cement this year's squad....they'll still lose some games, but they'll play all of them close

The Negative....THE Ohio State University....after the battle with USC, (a loss) they will run the table, go to the Championship game, again, and lose, again.

  4. Georgia will fall short of expectations . I predict about three losses from the team that many picked to win it all. The team that will do really well and surprise many is Texas Tech. I am sure most know they are very good, but traditionally not and to the average fan they will be surprised.

  5. I believe the negative spotlight will go to Oklahoma. Ok, lets get this straight, OKLAHOMA IS A GOOD PROGRAM, the Sooners are a good team. THE NEGATIVE is that the Sooners simply keep falling short of expectations when it comes to Bowl time. The Sooners have lost the past two bowls to Boise State and to West Virginia. They just lose their tremendous talent when it comes to Bowl Games for some reason, again, they are definitely the class of the Big 12 but to make that jump to a top program in college football, the Sooners need to start winning BCS Bowl Games.

I believe the team that WILL win the National Title this year will be West Virginia. Pat White is just too fast of a Quarterback to be stopped, if you contain him, he can still beat you with his arm. The Mountaineers will win this year's National Title. They have too much speed at Quarterback, a great 3-3-5 system to stop the spread offense, and a good defense. The team showed promise in the past Fiesta Bowl and I believe they WILL carry that momentum on to the coming season.

Illinois will also be a big surprise team, they may even win the Big 10 with things they way they are right now for Ohio State and Michigan.

  6. Well i would have to say the spotlight team this year is BYU. The reason for that they look like a really talented team and they had a excellent year last year. An the negative team i would say is Clemson or i could say Tommy Bowden is the coach in the hot seat. If Clemson doesn't get a ACC title this year or even get near winning a BCS game then that might be it for Tommy.
