ok, best surfer? hard to say. overall id say slater. 8 world titles, can you really argue? hes done things with a surfboard never thought possible, or just never thought of. hes litterally taken surfing to a whole new level, and then another level after that. best at barrels, id say jamie o brien. best at airs, dane reynolds, josh kerr or taj burrow. new up and comer, def. jordy smith.

best on the east coast, hmm. Fl, new smyrna beach is sick, decently consistent. i prefer my home break montauk though, cause when it fires, it really goes off, but thats loyalty on my part. cape hatteras NC is also good, but id have to give it to new smyrna.

Kelly Slater! I met him once and he was totally nice and he gave me a few tips!

Souther Florida was pretty good and also Texas had a few good swells

Mick Fanning because he's not all cocky like Kelly and he trains and stuff and his hard work payed off because he won the world title last year.

and as for the second part I really dont know because I've only been surfing in Hawaii, California, and Galveston Island, TX and interestingly enough I live in Missouri so the east coast is closer than most of those places
