In your opinoin, how hard do u think water polo is?

4 Years Varsity in High School

2 Years so far in College.

Hasn't gotten any easier. I have played many many sports on a team and water polo is by far the hardest. Never gets its credit.

Water Polo might be one of the hardest sports around that no one knows about or really understands.  First, your have to tread water and swim without the aid of pushing off the wall to get moving.  Second, most of what you see happens above the water; but most of what really takes place is below the water.  You are getting kicked, pulled, poked, yanked under, etc.  Frankly the goalie has the easy job.  Third, the rules are pretty lenient and designed to equalize the teams.

It is VERY hard.  To tread water all that time with guys jumping on you is way harder than it looks.

It's hard to compare it to the other sports you list because it would depend on what position and what level you are playing.

I'd say it's more physically demanding (continuously) than football and hockey...but I don't know about rugby, that's pretty brutal.
