  1. actually when i read ur question and tried to imagine that , nothing came to my mind except an image like the begining of the creation or probably an image like before the day of judgemnt or a remaining of destruction and corruption but overall peace & silence would spread over the planet....!

i don't know.... , why don't u give us alink to watch that too...?!

  2. It would take awhile, but eventually the earth would heal itself, the pollutants would be reabsorbed, the critters would make a comeback, global warming would proceed at the natural rate one expects of planet still in the cooling off phase of its existence.

    Maybe.

Gazillions of captive animals would die horrible deaths of starvation and thirst. Some species would go extinct because they have become totally dependent upon man's protection. Others would change beyond recognition in a few generations.

Many species of plant would also go extinct for, like the animals, they are totally dependent upon man for their procreation.

Most species that are on the endangered list and being aided in a comeback by humans would lose that assistance and probably go extinct. Bye bye eagles, some whales, seals, many raptors, whooping cranes, etc.

A lot of threatened species would follow suit as they too are dependent upon man's assistance for survival.

There's no guarantee that man's extinction would do the planet any real good. Since we don't have a clue WHICH species is the linchpin in ecology, if it's one of the threatened ones and it goes, whoopsie, there goes earth's life forms. It'd have to start over and who knows if it could.

What we need is not NO people, it's fewer greedy, short-sighted people and more people who care about things other than their own bank balances and public image.

  3. I'd have the place all to myself!

  4. I think that the earth would heal itself and revert back to EDEN

  5. Been there, did that.

  6. That's on YouTube? That's a copyright violation. I've watched that on History, it's a great show. I love the bridges falling apart, and the dogs wandering around. I think it goes without saying that the planet would be better off without us.

  7. Technically, it's not a documentary, but speculation.  If it's the one I've seen, it actually has about as much actual science behind it as Bladerunner.

However, if I were to disappear over night, the immediate effect would be that my kitty would very annoyed in a couple of days when no one cleans her litter box.  After that, it would get messy.

  8. Assuming everything else stays the same and it's just people who evaporate without bombings and other destruction, I think within 100 years this planet would be back on a healthy course.  I think the ozone would repair itself, I think the ice caps would stop melting, and I think it would be a much healthier and happier place without us.

  9. Being the top of the food chain, I guess nothing except that other species would have more habitat...and could proliferate

    Pollution would cease also.

  10. The planet would begin to heal itself.

I've seen your video, on the History channel.

  11. Seen it four times. Great graphics on most parts. I recall they left out some details that drives me crazy. Like the fact that they didn't tell how the humans disappeared. This is important. If it was nuclear war then the animals would have died. If it was weather, animals again would have died. If it was disease then they are many animals who can catch what we have. It was a great movie though. I like the part with the ferrel cats living in the luxury apartments that are now covered with vines.
