In your own words, describe your understanding of advocacy.?

In my life it means to:

*Speak, write or communicate on behalf of a belief, cause or individual (Especially for who may not otherwise have a voice, IE: Children in Family Courts)

*Educate others about said belief,cause or individual

*Encourage and affect positive change and support for that belief, cause or individual

*Have a responsibility toward those things (& people) in which one believes

Standing up for what you believe in. Arguing for your cause no matter what other people tell you.
