In your own words what is the Bill of Rights?

The Bill of Rights are the first 10 Amendments to the constitution list the rights of people but its is mistaken that it list all the rights of man. One of the complaints against the bill of rights was the fact that it was feared people would use them to list the ONLY rights people had and that why the 10th amendment is so loosely worded to give all the powers not specifically named to congress to the states and people respectively.

rights that were given to us either by God or whatever higher power that you may believe in or rights that you were born having as a virtue of being an American

It is a summary of the enumerations found in the United States Constitution...guaranteeing your personal, private and public rights.  It also tells you what the government cannot do to the people it governs.

the bill of rights isnt about what your gaurenteed by the government, its about rights your are born with ,the governments not supposed to touch. Too bad people dont know any better, you cant miss what you never had, and todays young people have been brain washed by socialists to not care what rights they were born with, just what the governments willing to give them.sorry dude, but your gonna have to read them and understand them so you protect them.
