  1. it is still a belief that men are capable of doing a better job and that they are stronger. thats BS. What society has to understand is that we have different functions..men and women...no one is stronger and no one is better...just different.

  2. Some reasons are pure sexism and because women tend to work less/quit for a short time to raise families and thus net less or employers pay less because this is a potential risk in their minds.

  3. Fear and an ages old social stigma of giving up power to the opposite s*x, and what might happen if they were to be equals. It also has some roots in the mother/child relationships.

  4. I feel that the reason for the gender pay gap fall on both genders. women can general do most if not all of what men can if not more. Just as a believe men are also capable of doing the things that women do. Because society has been set in the roles the women and men are suppose to play we feed into the stereotypes. Today we are witnessing history in the making, whether Obama or Hilliary wins the nomination. Like anything in history change comes about until one of the participating parties tires of the situation.

  5. What do you mean? Females make alot as well. There are only two types of sexes in this world as we all know...male and female. One has to make more than the other. If Females made more then all the males would just say "we need to equal it out..." and then they would make more...then the ladies would do it again...and then the males again. All jobs now a days are avalible for women just as they are for men. Ladies just don't like certain high paying things as men do like science and high tech. Do you want to work with computer technology or science? If you do...you can? But do you?

  6. women are just now doing jobs normally assigned to men.

historically, most jobs were gender specific.
