  1. the people in front of me don't know. You can only set a monster in defense position face down unless the card effect says otherwise. its in the rules.

  2. I used to play, never was beat, and no you can't.

  3. of Course you can!

but i prefer place it face down

because if your enemies attack is lower than your defense, and he attack your card because he don't know what card it is (because you put it face down) your enemies hp will decrease

but if you put it face up, your enemies will know that your defense is more low or high than him

    it's a strategy for playing

  4. This depends... in tournaments, they say you can't, in the rulebook, you can do it.

  5. im not shure but you probably could

  6. thats only if the card lets you or you or your opponent has a card that makes you play it in face up defense,if theres no effect saying that you can then you cant play your cards in face up defense, even if the did it in the show.......... you would have to set the card in face down defense first.

  7. nope unless it's a special summon. a special summon can be in face-up attack or defense position (unless the effect says otherwise). if you set a monster, it's always in face-down position. but if card effects like light of intervention is on the field, you summon in face-up defense position
