Special Summon. All Fusion summons count as special summon (Unless it says otherwise.) Although Synchro summons are special summons.

Hello. A Synchro Summon is considered a Special Summon. Just make sure the monsters you sacrifice have total levels that are exactly equal to the Synchro Monster you're attempting to Summon. Also be aware that some Synchro Monsters require a specific Tuner as written on theirSummoning rquirements. Read the description on each Synchro card carefully.
