In yugioh, what does special summon mean.?

I'm a new player, and before I play my friends I wanna make sure I know everything I should so that I dont make a fool for myself.

PS: should I buy a starter deck or a struckture deck, and if so, which starter deck should it be?

PSS: What are the best playing styles that you would recomend

ex:

remove from play

special effects

power monsters

defense

etc.

A special summon is an act in which a monster is called to the field after a certain condition has been met or by the effect of another card.

The best structure decks IMO are:

- SDDE: The Dark Emperor

- SD10: Machine Re-Volt

- SDRL: Rise of the Dragon Lords

The best playstyles for beginners IMO, would be:

- RFG (remove from play)

- Gadgets

- Beatdown

Gadget decks are usually loaded with monster removal like Lightning Vortex, Smashing Ground, Fissure, Sakuretsu Armor, etc.

Beatdown consists of high ATK monsters that are LV4 or less and works to end the game as quickly as possible.

Gadgets can be found in the Machine Re-Volt deck. It's best to use 2 sets of them IMO (each deck comes with 1 set).

The Dark Emperor deck works to RFG cards and finish using D.D. Survivor as an 'immortal' monster.

Special Summon means to bring a card that is either in your graveyard, deck, or removed from play. Some cards have effects to be brought right to the field after you have summoned a card already.

If you wanna buy any deck right now, it would have to be the Dark Removal Deck with Caius. Its the # 1 best Structe Deck in history of this game, claimed by the creaters of Yu-Gi-Oh.

Also, the best playing styles are the burn and dark removal.

Ok a special summon means a summon under special conditions, meaning it doesnt aplly to the one monster per turn ruling. As for the deck, i sugest the new shaddow deck (Structure). Also the best playing style in my opinion is Remove from play, or macros. Your opponent will run with his tail between his legs if you use one of those.
