In yugioh does block attack put a monster in defense position forever or only one turn ?

say i have a red eyes b. dragon and i attack my oppenent but he plays block attack does my monster stay in defense position for the whole game ( assuming my monster didn't die)

  1. First off, if you attack, your oppenet cant activate Block Attack, its not a quick-play spell or Speed 2-3. Second it lasts only for 1 turn. After that, your monster can switch back to attack


  2. block attack is a normal spell, so your opponent couldn't use it to block an attack. only quick-play spells can be activated on any turn after they've been set.

    the monster will only stay in defense position for one turn (so the monster can go into attack mode on the next turn). the card would say something like "the selected monster cannot change its position".

  3. Your opponent cannot play block attack because the spell card is a spell speed 1!!!!!!

  4. well if yooh attack your opponent cannot activated block attack because it isn't a quick play spell card so he would have to activate it on his own turn and it would only put yooh in defense for one turn if he activated it on his turn again he cannot activated it when yooh attack
