In yugioh when it just saysto special summon a monster, does it mean you could special summon it from ur deck?

i mean when it doesn't say special summon from your hand neither special summon from your hand or deck

Well,that depends on what magic or trap card you play to special summon a monster. It should be written on the card like Monster Reborn and Call from the Haunted,which can special summon monsters from the graveyard. There are other cards that could special summon monster from the deck but so far I've not seen any yet.

You have to special summon it from the graveyard

or from the remove from play cards.

Most cards will tell you in their text where and what monster you can summon.

I think that you only can Special Summon(SS) a card from your hand when the card says "you can SS this card ......." but it doesn't tell where

it always says where you special summon it from. post the card. it probably means from your hand
