Inchina to dominate the Whitley Stud Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Division II) at Newbury on 20th April
Newbury will become home for the Class 4 Whitley Stud Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Division II) over a mile, two furlongs and six yards on Friday, 20th April. Contesting for the £4,528 purse is a line-up of fourteen runners who are three-year-old.
The entries for the race today are very lightly raced and quite a few will race their seasonal debut today.
One of the two entries who have raced at Newbury is Inchina, Montjeu’s three-year-old bay filly out of mare, Incheni. She has raced only once throughout her career and that also at Newbury. She ended third in the Julia Tooth Memorial EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Division II) on 22nd October at Newbury over a mile.
The race was won by the 3/1 joint favourite of the race, Shirocco Star who was riding with Darryll Holland and had the other joint favourite, Varnish, settling is as the runner up with Richard Hughes onboard.
Concluding the race third was Inchina.
The three-year-old will be racing her second start of the career and the 2012 seasonal debut today. Under charge trainer Roger Charlton, Inchina should put in all the effort for bagging the second chance of her career.
Another candidate who has raced at Newbury is Miracle Maid, Selkirk’s three-year-old bay filly out of mare, Miracle. On 22nd October, Miracle Maid finished fourth in the Julia Tooth Memorial EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Division I) at Newbury over a mile.
The race was won by Estrela who led the 7/4 favourite runner up of the race, Westwiththenight, by four and a half lengths while riding with James Doyle.
Caitlin concluded the race third and was soon followed by Miracle Maid.
Same as Inchina, Miracle Maid will race her seasonal debut and the second race of her career.
Red Hand, the three-year-old bay filly is a candidate who started off her racing career at Lingfield in the Barry O’Connor Celebration Birthday Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on 30th March over a mile and two furlongs.
The 8/11 favourite of the race ended third while the winner Danube River led the runner up of the race, Lady Romanza, by four lengths.
Inchina possesses just the right career cracking for excelling in the race today.
