Incident in Korea...misstatement or funny business?

Question

The story said the woman was shot twice from behind, and that the first shot struck her in the chest. Well, unless she was built oddly that can't happen, so either whoever wrote the article has no concept of anatomy or there's something esle going on they aren't saying. Your thoughts?

I assume they meant posterior chest, which is the back.
