Incitatus hot favourite for Gain Feeds Corn Cuchulainn 750 - 2nd Rnd - Heat 1
Incitatus is likely to dominate proceedings in the Gain Feeds Corn Cuchulainn 750 - 2nd Round - Heat 1 at Harold’s Cross in Ireland on Friday, June 29, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will be awarded a cash prize of €75.
The 750 yards flat race is scheduled to start at 21:00 GMT and it will test the stamina of five quality runners. However, the conditions will suit Incitatus, as he has got very good stamina. Furthermore, he has been performing really well in recent times, which will help him get the attention of the punters today.
The P. Buckley’s trained hound does not have a lot of experience, but is well aware of handling pressure situations. He debuted in 2011 and took part in a few solo runs before representing his owner in Grade OR events. He had to wait for quite some time to win his first race in this class.
The fawn dog was given a starting price of 3 to 1 back then, but dominated proceedings completely, winning by three lengths. Although his winning percentage is not good, he has been delivering some consistent results over the past couple of years.
Rumble Impact’s son out of Coolavanny Minor brought up his previous Grade OR victory at Shelbourne Park in May this year. This win earned his owner a cash prize of €500. He was rated as the favourite to win back then and lived up to the expectations of everyone. His start was good and there was no one who could challenge him towards the end of the event.
However, Incitatus was unable to repeat a similar show in his most recent run, as he finished runner up by a couple of lengths. The result was still not bad for him, as he displayed extremely good stamina in it. He will need to improve his start, which will help him dominate proceedings at Harold’s Cross today.
On the other hand, St Mullins Pride will also be the one to watch out for in the race, as he is carrying the winning momentum right now. Furthermore, he has got a lot of experience, thus the punters will have a lot of confidence in his abilities.
