Include Me Out and Love Theway Youare to settle the score in Zenyatta
The winner of the Grade 1 Santa Margarita and the Grade 1 Clemet L. Hirsch Stakes, Jay Em Ess Stable’s, Include Me Out, will have an interesting set of fillies and mares to counter in the Grade 1 Zenyatta Stakes on the 29 September, 2012, at Santa Anita Park.
Formerly known as the Lady’s Secret Stakes, the Zenyatta Stakes has panned out an interesting set of fillies which include the 2012 grade 1 winners like, Love Theway Youare and Love and Pride, who will look to stamp their authority in the female division ahead of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
The 1 1/16 mile race will be run over the Santa Anita Park’s dirt course, and Include Me Out will meet the Clement L. Hirsch runner-up, Star Billing, with the likes of Alabama Stakes third place finisher, Via Villaggio.
Trained by Ronald W. Ellis, Include Me Out got out of jail when she made a late run to keep Star Billing at bay by a neck to win the Clement L. Hirsch.
Prior to that race, Love Theway Youare defeated Include Me Out in second to win the Grade 1 Vanity Handicap. Things will spice up when all these rivals, who have got the better of each other at some point, will come together for a Breeders’ Cup preview.
This will be the third time Love Theway Youare and Include Me Out will come face to face, and both of them have won once against each other.
"I'm not too worried about (Love Theway Youare). She got a little lucky to beat us (in the Vanity)," he said. "I think my rider (Joe Talamo) moved a little too soon that day. He opened up by six (lengths) and my filly got bored when she got out in front."
"She's been training great. Her last work was on the grass because the Hollywood Park track where she normally trains had been closed," Ellis explained. "She worked really good over it. She has a half sister (Check the Label) that's a grade I winner on the grass, so I figured she would handle it fine."
