Include Me Out looks good in the Marjorie Everett Stakes despite tough competition
Jay Em Ess Stable’s 4-year-old filly, Include Me Out, is the main contender for the Grade 2, $150,000 Marjorie Everett Stakes over at Betfair Hollywood Park’s cushion track over a distance of 1 1/16 miles in a field of seven, 3-year-old and up fillies and
mares.
Ronald W. Ellis trained filly has drawn in the inside post for the Marjorie Everett Stakes, while she will share the 120 pound top weight with her rival, Ellafitz. Joe Talamo will guide Include Me Out.
Zazu, who will be breaking from post number 6 will have Garrett Gomez aboard for trainer John Sadler.
Bred in Kentucky, Include Me Out is in awesome form this season, with two victories in as many starts.
The daughter of Include started her 2012 campaign with a run in the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita Park’s dirt course over a distance of 1 1/16 miles on 22 January, 2012.
Under Joe Talamo, Include Me Out was up against some serious competition, but landed the victory over the hot Brazilian mare, Great Hot, who finished second, as Tiz Flirtatious finished third one the day with Include Me Out wrapping things up in 1 minute
and 41.89 seconds.
Out of Mazel Trick mare Don’t Trick Her, Include Me Out downed the Grade 1 Santa Margarita Stakes also at Santa Anita Park on 17 March, 2012.
Her second race of the season was stretched out in distance from 1 1/16 miles to 1 1/8 miles – which she seemed to relish and went on to cover the extended distance in 1 minute and 47.62 seconds.
Love Theway Youare, who is also in the Marjorie Everett Stakes lineup finished second in the Santa Margarita Stakes and Miss Mittagong finished third on the day.
Zazu will be making her seasonal debut in the 19 May race, as she hasn’t race since winning the Grade 1 Lady’s Secret Stakes.
John Sadler trained 4-year-old filly is a potential threat to Include Me Out’s chances, who has a tendency to upset at the bigger stage, like she did against Plum Pretty in the Grade 2 Hollywood Oaks and Ultra Blend in the Lady’s Secret.
The Grade 2 multiple stakes winner, Ellafitz finished fourth in the Grade 1 Santa Margarita, but prior to it she downed back to back races this season, including the Grade 2 Santa Maria Stakes.
