Income support advice?

Hello everyone

I am a lone parent and a student. In the summer vacation I can apply for IS.

I made an application 3 weeks ago and gave them all the info etc they wanted. Anyway, just got a letter today asking for my last payslips etc from the employment. thing is I have not worked for 4 years (june 2004) and so I dont have this info now. I dont have my last pay slip or anything, I mean it was 4 years ago. I am going to send back the letter to them stating this, but I am worried that this will affect my claim, I have already waited for 3 weeks and I am worried as I have no money.
