Inconsistent period?

I've had my period for 3 years and they were irregular the year i got them (which i know is normal). And the second year they were normal most of the time but now in my third year of having a period they dont come for 2 months at a time after being totally consistent. Ive had s*x but I'm not pregnant. I am athletic but im not a super athlete. I've never used birth control but I just wonder why they are so inconsistent after being so consistent for a while. Should I worry?

  1. i wouldnt worry. if they come in 2 month intervals, even better!  apparently my grandma had her periods quarterly.  she had heaps of kids so I don't doubt her fertility!

  2. Well, on 3rd year it should be pretty normal, but if it keeps happening, go talk to your doctor. I've been waiting on mine for over half a year almost now so, if you worry, then let's worry together :]

If you start having stomach problems or any weird consistent symptoms, go talk to a doctor.

I'm pretty inexperienced at this stuff but just be careful.

  3. For a couple of times I didn't have mine, because I was in a very stressful time then. But as the irregularity has been going on for several months, you should definitely see your doctor for more information and reassurance.
